The Princeton Review names MenuTrinfo® clients: U Mass-Amherst, Cornell, Vanderbilt, and more in the Top 25 Best Campus Food List with Great Tasting Food and Allergy Awareness
The Princeton Review recently released their “The Best 388 Colleges: 2023 Edition.” Over 160,000 higher education students were surveyed. These students had a lot to say about the good, the bad, and everything in-between at their schools. The main topics covered in this survey were Academics/Administration, Quality of Life, Politics, Campus Life, Town Life, Extracurriculars and Social Scene.
College is a time in life where one gets the opportunity to explore the world in a completely new way and is exposed to new experiences. New experiences mean new cuisine! Higher education establishments are always looking for ways to boost their students’ quality of life and one way is through the food they serve. The “Best Campus Food” list is a display of the 25 top rated higher education locations that serve the best food. These locations have made it a priority to provide their students with great tasting options as well as unique and inviting experiences too.
While most students get to enjoy exploring new dining halls without a care, others often avoid this experience because it could mean serious physical pain or even life or death if a food service team is not properly trained or facility is not properly maintained. Students with food allergies, celiac and even food sensitivities must always be on high alert, especially when they’re in completely new surroundings and on their own for the first time. At times they can even feel powerless and excluded due to the lack of safe choices provided to them.
At MenuTrinfo, we love seeing universities go above and beyond when it comes to accommodating students with special dietary needs. Empowering ALL students with safe and great tasting choices is the best way to demonstrate inclusion and promote diversity. We were happy to see that of the 25 higher education locations with the best food, almost 2/3 of them have also shown a commitment to providing those same experiences safely to their students with food allergies, celiac and food sensitivities.
15 higher education locations on this list have utilized AllerTrain® by MenuTrinfo to empower their team with allergy and gluten-free training. Five of those locations have earned an AllerCheck™ Certificate showing their commitment to having their facility and procedures focus on the best allergen and gluten free best practices. And finally, two locations have been Certified Free From™ specific allergens in certain facilities on campus, which entailed a highly rigorous document review and onsite audit along with regular allergen testing.
See below for a complete list of MenuTrinfo clients who made the Princeton Review’s Best Campus Food List for 2023. We are so honored to be working with these universities on this list that went the extra mile beyond providing great food and kept inclusion of their students top of mind. Thank you for ensuring your students are safe and can truly enjoy these new experiences with a little less stress and anxiety in their hearts.
