Building on our tremendous success of MenuTrinfo® LLC Certified Free From™ Allergens certification program and in line with the Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement and growing consumer demand we are now offering a new certification program ensuring packaged foods or beverages do not contain any synthetically produced (or human made) colors or flavors which are better known as “artificial colors” and “artificial flavors.” The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved for use nine “certified color additives,” which includes seven “FD&C” color additives used in food, drugs, and cosmetics. In addition, FDA has defined “artificial flavor” or “artificial flavoring” to identify those flavors which are not derived from natural sources.

Consumers are actively seeking products that do not contain “artificial” ingredients and have a “cleaner” ingredient label. As a result, there has been a growing commitment from food manufacturers and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies to remove artificial ingredients including artificial colors and flavors. Our new certification program offers a valuable resource for CPG and food manufacturers who want to voluntarily provide products that are Certified Free From™ Artificial Colors   and Certified Free From™ Artificial Flavors.  MenuTrinfo® LLC Certified Free From™ program is now expanding the list of certified free from offerings to include artificial colors and artificial flavors for brands by providing certification and audits for food products, vitamins, supplements and other consumer goods. A Certification for No Synthetic or Artificial Colors and Flavors verifies that a product is made without the use of human made or artificially derived colorants and flavoring agents. This certification confirms that:

  • The product contains no synthetic dyes (e.g., Red 40, Yellow 5) or artificial flavor compounds.
