Food Allergy Training for all College and University Staff!

Kids at college with allergies
Although college is an exciting time in life, having kids at college with allergies can be very scary. As if dining halls weren’t already the most intimidating social settings, being worried about if your food is handled safely or not only adds to the already nerve-racking situation. But, colleges and universities can ease the transition into higher education by ensuring that dining areas are safe from food-allergy related incidents occurring. By completing MenuTrinfo’s AllerTrain U course, colleges and universities can be trained on proper practices for avoiding food-allergy incidents and how to prepare for them, if they were to happen.
So, let’s learn a little more about how AllerTrain U works so that your institution can start helping students today, shall we?logo lineup croppedAllerTrain U
AllerTrian U is a food allergen and gluten-free training course designed for people who serve food in a college or university setting. Students who suffer from food allergies or celiac disease can have a hard time eating on campus, but if the university has taken an AllerTrain U course, they’ll be better prepared to cater to these students’ needs. This will help colleges and universities not only know how to recognize allergic reactions, but also to have the policies, procedures and dining set-up in place to help prevent these reactions from occurring. As with our other courses, upon completion, each participant will be issued an AllerTrain U Certificate of Award that is valid for three years.
How should a college or university sign up for the course?
We regularly offer AllerTrain U courses throughout the year, so all you have to do to sign up is visit the Class Schedule page on our website. If you’d like to have a trainer onsite, you can schedule one by calling MenuTrinfo at 970.295.4370.
Who should take AllerTrain U?
Anyone involved in university dining services would benefit from taking this course because the safer the students are, the better!
