The 2026 Food Allergy Symposium for Industry (FASI) event brought together more than 125 attendees and more than 35 speakers from across foodservice, healthcare, manufacturing, and advocacy for two powerful days focused on one shared goal: creating safer, more transparent food experiences.

Across 19 sessions, conversations spanned everything from allergy compliance and emerging legal cases to chef demonstrations, food allergy research, and the growing role of digital menus, AI, and technology. Each session reflected the evolving landscape of allergen safety and provided practical, real-world strategies attendees took back to their organizations.

Connection, Recognition, and Industry Momentum

Beyond the sessions, FASI created meaningful opportunities for connection. A networking reception on Tuesday evening brought the community together, while two dozen sponsors and exhibitors showcased the tools, partnerships, and innovations supporting this work across industries.

On Wednesday, the National Allergy Awards honored this year’s winners while also recognizing the broader impact of the industry, with 30 past winners and categories represented. The moment highlighted both progress and the collective leadership driving continued change.

Advocacy and What’s Ahead

The presence of organizations including Allergy Advocates NY, CFAAR, FAACT, The Celiac College Guide, and Red Sneakers for Oakley reinforced the critical role of advocacy and education in advancing allergen safety. A major announcement from MenuTrinfo®’s CEO Betsy Craig introduced a new partnership supporting Epi Everywhere, in collaboration with Kaleo, Belay, Red Sneakers for Oakley, and MenuTrinfo, signaling continued momentum in expanding access to life-saving resources.

Building Leaders Before the Event Began

One of the most exciting segments of the week at FASI began with the Certified AllerTrainer Advanced Professional per-conference training. At this training, 18 Certified AllerTrainers participated in a hands-on session focused on strengthening training delivery, facilitation, and leadership skills. Each participant earned a new badge, further expanding a network of professionals equipped to lead allergen safety education nationwide.

FASI 2026 was more than a conference, it was a reflection of an industry moving forward together, with growing energy, stronger partnerships, and a shared commitment to protecting the communities it serves and we already can’t wait for the next one!
