Betsy’s commitment to the betterment of the food industry and her desire to positively inform and affect the dining public drives her to find and collaborate with forward thinkers to provide nutritional information that generates healthy food choices. Surrounded by a staff of Nutritionists, Dietitians, IT Developers and Certified Menu Labeling Specialists, Betsy has enabled her company to supply any food service establishment with the information needed to comply with the new health care law and to answer the demands of the consumer.

What matters most, according to Betsy, is the ability to empower people with information.  When consumers are accurately informed, they eat healthier, control nutrition-related health problems, and have the freedom to live out specific dietary choices such as vegan diets with ease.  Smart eaters are healthy, happy customers who return for a positive dining experience.

Rocky comes to MenuTrinfo with decades of experience developing software and a passion for  food information unmatched in today’s market.  Always ready for a challenging role, Rocky started with the USDA Nutrient Database and re-architected it to new levels.

Rocky’s software, developed for in-house use, leads off with an efficient, effective method for data input and analysis.  MenuTrinfo’s technicians are thus empowered with the proper tools to accurately and efficiently enter  your recipes.  A thorough suite of analysis, cross-referencing and error-checking tools delivers accurate results for verification with our clients.

Rocky spent a week attending the 34th National Nutrient Databank Conference.  The experience led to a profound awakening for Rocky and the database architecture he has developed.  It is this quest for learning that drives this 30+ years seasoned professional to the next level to benefit MenuTrinfo and all that turn to us for answers.

While looking for new features to inform dining customers beyond standard expectations, Rocky turned his thinking outside the box and came up with the reverse lookup.  This novel view starts at the ingredient to show the diner a bottom-up view of the recipes they’re eating.  It’s the foundation for future products to  answer the call regarding food sensitivities and allergens. The reverse lookup has been received by those in the food industry with thunderous applause.

Rocky lives in northern Colorado but is never more than a mouse click or phone call away from providing a technical response to customer needs.

MenuTrinfo welcomed Registered Dietitian Dee in September of 2010. She is leading the way at MenuTrinfo to make a difference to so many.Dee OConnell About Us

Educated at Purdue and the Harvard affiliate, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dee is the best and brightest of what the country has to offer the field of nutrition.  Dee has spent years in the classroom, the laboratory, hospitals and the corporate world gaining hands-on knowledge about how nutrition works from its chemistry to its manifestation in the living body.  Her research has been published in Nutrition Research and Clinica Chemica Acta, and her work has resulted in the education of the public for companies like Kellogg’s and Beechnut Nutrition Corporation, Nestlé.

Because of her diverse experience and expansive capabilities, Dee brings expertise to MenuTrinfo in chemical methods for vitamin, mineral and nutrient analysis, nutritional deficiencies, sources of nutrition, and education about proper nutrition as well as food and nutritional requirements and recommendations.  Ultimately, the addition of Dee O’Connell means that MenuTrinfo is more qualified than ever to produce a comprehensive product that restaurateurs can be sure makes them compliant with all government standards and can be proud to offer to educate and inform their dining patrons.

Joia – National Director Nutrition and Training Divisions    Email Joia

Joia will be graduating from the University of Bridgeport with an M.S. in Nutrition this May. Her passion for preventative medicine began while obtaining her B.S. in biology at Colorado Christian University, and this passion drives her efforts in both her professional and personal life. She has interned with the American Diabetes Association, and has advocated for childhood obesity prevention as her platform message within the Miss America Organization. She has a deep knowledge and understanding of food allergies, and how they affect both the individual and hospitality industry. Her own experience with Celiac Disease makes this area a passion and gives her empathy as well as the ability to communicate with others the importance of food allergy reaction prevention.

Outside of work, Joia thoroughly enjoys cooking, and loves making gluten free goodies. She is always trying new recipes and loves feeding her family and friends whole, healthful, colorful and delicious foods. Not much makes her happier than proving to the disbeliever that nutrition can taste so good. When she is not in the kitchen, she stays busy enjoying the beautiful Colorado mountains with her husband, walking her enthusiastic Goldendoodle, and staying fit through kickboxing and pilates.

As our newest nutritionist, Joia is excited to be a key player for the MenuTrinfo team. Her enthusiasm for her work, as well as her attention to detail make her a valuable asset to the company.

Andrea attends Colorado State University, and is completing a double major in Dietetics and also Nutrition and Fitness.  She has more than three years of experience in the Food Service Industry, and over a decade of passion for nutrition and cooking.  Andrea served as a Database Analyst for the United States Air Force, so using MenuTrinfo’s nutritional database to analyze your menu’s nutritional information—is her forte!

Andrea loves everything about food—its social aspects, its ability to inspire creativity, and most of all its profound impacts on overall health.  Outside of work, you can find her perusing markets of all kind for inspiration.  She especially enjoys creating vegan and gluten free dishes.  Her overall goal with each dish she cooks is to show that food can be both healthy AND delicious.  Going hand in hand with her passion for nutrition is her passion for fitness.  If it were possible (or safe) to cook and workout at the same time, we think that she would!

When all is said and done, Andrea’s experience and passion makes her a valuable addition to the MenuTrinfo Team.
